TO THE MOON & BACK: 10th ANNIVERSARY DANCE PARTY

Coming on May 8

Run Time: 300 min.

We’re celebrating 10 years since our launch with some special DJ’s! Jacq Jill, Baronhawk Portier and Killr Flowr

Jacq Jill:
The Baltimore-based selector has been a steady cultural mover  and undeniable force in the American underground for years.  Known for being as versatile as they are technically gifted,  featuring all across the spectrum of the US Underground and  beyond. Her sets pull from grimy club sounds, joyous house, liquid sound design, punishing bass and techno. In a word, her  sound is thoroughly queer, tapping into dance music’s radical  and transformative potential and leading dancers on a  psychedelic dreamride. Hot off her most recent 2024 stops  including Montreal, NYC, LA, and Amsterdam, Jacq Jill is ready  to give all she’s got in 2025.

Jacq has multiple releases on a who’s who of mix series and is  featured on the 2019 Boiler Room North American Tour. She  intrinsincly understands election is so important, as is energy.  As much as they work hard to be a diverse and conscious  selector, they work twice as hard to be an energy provider  and community organizer. In the past year, her warehouse  curation and custom vintage system have brought a slew of  heavy weights only: Paranoid London, Objekt, Kiernan Laveaux,  Ladymonix, Batu, and PLO Man to name a few.

In recent years, Jacq has been featured in the Washington Post  discussing the current state of American dance floors and  navigating the pandemic, as well as a feature in Extend Magazine,  where they recall the transition from conservative Texas to the  East coast, bringing their favorite southern sound influences  along with them. With over 15 years experience, as an engineer, DJ, and curator,  Jacq Jill is carrying on the deep and rich history of Baltimore City dance music.

Baronhawk Portier:
Growing up in PG County, Maryland nestled between Baltimore and Washington, DC shaped life for artist Baronhawk Poitier. Listening to local radio stations breakdancing with local friends and sorting through records while working at The Record Exchange heavily influenced his pursuit of a career as a producer and DJ. He was recognized alongside mentor Kris Klayton aka Karizma/ Kaytronik with a grant from the National Endowment of Arts for electronic music production. Baronhawk expresses his passion for cultural preservation and education working with dance legends at the nonprofit culture and education project Urban Artistry, Inc. Poitier has also earned a name for himself within the LGBTQIA+ dance music community as a member of the unique queer artist collective The NeedlExchange “TNX,” who were known for their independent events and raves. He continues to tour as a solo artist while hosting events in DC as a co-creator and resident of the DJ collective “DanceClub”.

Baronhawk Poitier’s “Friction Faction” (Major Records NYC) released in 2025. Their first EP “Temperado Tornado” (Honey Soundsystem Records) released in 2020, followed by remixes for notable artists Roxy “The Contagion” (Nervous Records), Chrissy “Give U XTC” (Cool Ranch Records) and OutputMessage “Our Love”. Singles, “Phickle Pickle” (Future Times), “There’s N000 Time” (None/Such Records) and “One Missed Call From A Tenderhawk” (Trax Only Records) are available on all platforms.
